Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has issued a direct challenge to team coach Randy Waldrum amid reports of discontent over her inclusion in the Olympic Games roster, as reported by BSNSports.com.ng.
Speculation arose on Monday suggesting that Waldrum had reservations about a player being imposed on him for the Olympic team selection.
Reacting to these rumors, Ebi took to her social media platform, specifically her Whatsapp status, to express her frustration and challenge the coach's reported comments.
"Randy said I was begging him to include me in the Olympic team, he should come and say it in front of me," Ebi asserted.
She continued with a comparison, stating, "Marta, who is going to the Olympics, is being honored by her country.
She will only appear in a few games, which is how to honor players who wish to retire from the national team. But in my country, they use insults to frustrate your life.
They have been frustrating me since I was 36, 37, and 38, trying to force me to leave the national team."
