Laycon Accuses DJ Neptune of Withholding Royalties for 'Nobody (Icons Remix)'

Popular Nigerian singer and former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, Laycon, has publicly called out renowned DJ Neptune over unpaid royalties for their 2020 collaborative song, Nobody (Icons Remix).

In a viral post on his X handle on Wednesday, Laycon expressed frustration over DJ Neptune's silence and failure to pay him his due royalties, even after four years.

Addressing the issue, Laycon wrote: “Abeg o, DJ Neptune, how far my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song though. Is it not still ready? Haba, it’s been 4 years.”

The reality star emphasized the importance of honoring agreements in the music industry and voiced concerns over the lack of communication regarding the royalties for the track.

The song, which also featured Joeboy, was a remix dedicated to Laycon's fans, known as Icons, following his BBNaija victory in 2020.

As of the time of this report, DJ Neptune has not responded to Laycon’s allegations. The ongoing silence has raised questions about transparency and fairness in the music industry, especially in terms of collaboration agreements and royalty distribution.
