The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps Kwara State Command has arrested three suspects; Adeleke Oke, Sikiru Lawal, and Moshood Suleiman Ayinde for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Offa, Kwara State.
The suspects were apprehended on Sunday, September 1, following a report lodged by the victim’s father at the NSCDC Offa Division.
In a statement released by Ayoola Michael, the spokesperson of the state command, the NSCDC revealed that the three suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions and threatened her not to open up to anyone about the illicit acts.
The statement disclosed that a detailed medical examination confirmed that the victim’s hymen was ruptured and provided clear evidence of repeated sexual penetration.
It further stated that the suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for onward prosecution.
