Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor is reportedly planning a renewed bid for Southampton forward Paul Onuachu in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Nigerian international, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with Trabzonspor last season, is seen as a key target for the Black Sea Storm.
During his loan spell, Onuachu impressed with 17 goals and four assists in 25 appearances, showcasing his scoring prowess and making him a fan favourite.
Trabzonspor attempted to secure him on a permanent basis over the summer, but their €7 million offer was rejected by Southampton, who held firm on a €15 million valuation for the 30-year-old striker.
Onuachu has struggled for playing time this season with Southampton, managing only 42 minutes across four matches.
Since joining the Saints from Belgian side KRC Genk in January 2023, he has found it challenging to establish a regular role in the team.
With limited playing opportunities at Southampton, the January transfer window could offer a solution for both the player and Trabzonspor, who are eager to bolster their attacking options with a proven goal-scorer.
