President of House of Prayer Football Academy, Pastor (Dr.) Joseph Omorinoye, has rewarded the players with one million naira following their impressive 4-2 comeback victory over Kwara Football Academy (KFA) on Friday.
Despite trailing 2-1 at halftime, House of Prayer FA staged a stunning second-half turnaround, inspired by a hat-trick from Abdulquadri against his former club, to seal all three points. The win lifts the team to second place on the table with seven points, three behind leaders Laycon FA.
In a bid to further motivate the players ahead of their crucial clash against Kasam on Monday, Pastor Omorinoye gifted the team with a sum of one million naira.
Speaking on the gesture, the Academy’s Director, Taiwo Olowe, expressed gratitude to the president, noting that the financial support underlines his unwavering commitment to the team’s success.
He urged the players to respond with another strong performance on Monday against Kasam to further boost their chances of reaching the playoffs.
Head coach Oniye Muhammad also lauded the president’s continued support, reaffirming the squad’s focus on achieving promotion this season.
Meanwhile, Team captain John Monday added his voice, thanking Pastor Omorinoye and pledging the team’s full commitment to reaching the NNL.
Pastor Omorinoye has remained a consistent pillar of support for House of Prayer FA, funding closed camping in Erin-Ile and ensuring the team is well-prepared for the ongoing competition.
