"Kwara PDP Mourns Saraki's Mother's Death, Offers Condolences"


The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has joined in mourning the demise of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, the revered matriarch of the Saraki family and mother of former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki.

 

Ensurednews gathered Chief Mrs. Saraki passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 89, as confirmed by her son, Dr. Bukola Saraki, through official social media channels.

 

In a heartfelt statement issued by the State Chairman of the PDP, Rt. Honorable Babatunde Mohammed, the party expressed profound sadness over the loss of Chief Mrs. Florence Saraki, describing her as a stalwart figure whose influence extended well beyond her immediate family.

 

"The Kwara State PDP mourns with deep sadness the passing of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, a pillar of strength not only to her distinguished son, Dr. Bukola Saraki, but also to countless others whose lives she touched," the statement read.

 

Chief Mrs. Saraki was acknowledged for her unwavering support and guidance to her children, who have played significant roles in Nigerian politics and beyond. Her legacy, according to the PDP, exemplifies the values of service, compassion, and resilience.

 

"We urge Dr. Bukola Saraki and the entire Saraki family to find solace in the rich legacy left behind by Mama Saraki. Her life was a testament to strength and dedication, and her impact on Kwara State will be remembered for generations," the statement continued.

 

The PDP also extended its condolences to all family members, friends, and associates of Chief Mrs. Florence Saraki, praying that Almighty Allah grants her soul eternal rest and comforts those mourning her loss.
