State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed profound sadness over the
demise of Chief (Mrs.) Florence Morenike Saraki, matriarch of the prominent
Saraki family of Kwara State.
Mrs. Florence Saraki passed away on Tuesday,
June 18, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment to the people of
Kwara State.
Governor AbdulRazaq extended his heartfelt
condolences to the Saraki family, particularly to former Senate President
Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mr. Olaolu Saraki, and other members of the family.
He emphasized the importance of drawing strength
from the enduring legacy and exemplary life of their beloved matriarch during
this difficult time.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press
Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRazaq prayed for the peaceful repose of
Mrs. Florence Saraki's soul and urged divine comfort and strength upon the
bereaved family.
The Governor acknowledged Mrs. Florence Saraki's contributions to the development of Kwara State and her impactful humanitarian efforts over the years.
As the state mourns her loss, Governor AbdulRazaq called on the people of Kwara State to join him in offering prayers for the peaceful rest of Mrs. Florence Saraki's soul and in support of her grieving family members.
