CHIVIDO24: YouTube Removes Davido’s Wedding Hit ‘Ogechi Remix’ Over Copyright Infringement

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Davido's latest hit, ‘Ogechi Remix,’ has been taken down from YouTube following a copyright dispute.

The song, which was performed live at Davido’s grand wedding to Chioma on June 25, 2024, quickly became a fan favorite, especially after the official music video was released on July 19, 2024.

The remix, a collaboration featuring artists BoyPee, Brown Joel, and Hyce, gained significant traction across social media and streaming platforms.

However, fans were shocked when the music video was suddenly removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim.

Despite the video's removal, the audio of 'Ogechi Remix' remains available on BoyPee’s official YouTube channel.

This situation has raised questions about the song's official credits, as current information suggests that Davido is not listed as the official artist for the track on YouTube.

Adding to the controversy, a viral video has surfaced online, showing that the original version of ‘Ogechi’ was created by a different artist before the remix was made.

This revelation has fueled speculation about the nature of the copyright claim and the legitimacy of the remix.
