Yuletide: Ex-Kwara First Lady Distributes Millions Worth of Gifts to Aged, People with Disabilities

In a heartwarming display of generosity this Christmas season, Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed, the former First Lady of Kwara State, has distributed millions of naira worth of Christmas packages to the elderly, people living with disabilities, and awarded university scholarships to several orphans.

The event, organized by her initiative, God’s Mercy Solution Ministry, took place at the LEAH head office on Iwo Street, off Offa Garage, in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Over 500 individuals benefited from the outreach, which was part of her Covenant Care program. The Christmas packages included a variety of essential items such as designer fabrics, shoes, rice, beans, garri, salt, groundnut oil, tin tomatoes, and other food ingredients, all aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by the less fortunate.

Represented by Pastor Bolaji Odejide, Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed addressed the gathering, explaining that God’s Mercy Solution Ministry was created with a mandate to win souls and bring transformation to people’s lives.

Pastor Odejide emphasized that the gesture was an expression of God's love, especially for those suffering, and urged the affluent to become blessings to those in need.

He also spoke about the ministry’s work with orphans, highlighting how they nurture children spiritually and academically. Some of the orphans under their care, he noted, had graduated, with five recently gaining admission to different universities.

Pastor Odejide reiterated the ministry’s commitment to raising homeless children to become strong, educated, and spiritually grounded individuals. The event also featured a free medical checkup for all beneficiaries, ensuring their well-being during the festive season.

Several of the recipients shared their gratitude, describing Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed as a Godsend and expressing deep appreciation for her kindness.

The outreach, which brought smiles to the faces of the recipients, is just one example of the former First Lady's continuous dedication to bettering the lives of the less privileged in Kwara State.
