Muhammed Fatai, son of the Auditor General of Kwara State, Alayande Fatai, captained Kwara Football Academy (KFA) to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rectitude FA — an academy founded and presided over by his father — in Match 4 of Week 6 of the Kwara Kiddies League on Saturday afternoon.
Muhammed Fatai, a standout figure in the KFA squad, has continued to earn praise for his resilience and strong leadership qualities. On Saturday afternoon, he once again led by example, guiding Kwara Football Academy to a narrow 1-0 victory over Rectitude Football Academy — a side founded and presided over by his father, Alayande Fatai.
Fatai's commanding presence in midfield helped the defending champions secure their fourth consecutive win of the season. The decisive moment came in the first half, when Isiaq Mustapha struck the only goal of the match to hand KFA the advantage.
Despite relentless pressure from Rectitude in search of an equalizer, KFA remained composed and disciplined, drawing inspiration from their captain’s tenacity to preserve the lead.
The victory cements KFA’s position at the top of the table with 12 points from four matches, keeping them on course to defend their league title, having already won the last three editions.
Alayande Fatai, the Kwara State Auditor General and president of Rectitude FA, is a known supporter of youth football development. A regular at Kiddies League fixtures, he was on hand once again to watch and support the young talents — including his own son.
