Kwara United Football Club has announced the appointment of Coach Tunde Sanni Saliu as the new Interim Head Coach, following the sudden departure of Kabiru Dogo, who has rejoined Nasarawa United.
The decision was confirmed by Kwara United’s Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, who received Dogo’s resignation late on Friday evening.
Titiloye expressed his support for Dogo’s decision and wished him success in his new role at Nasarawa United. He also assured fans that an announcement regarding Sanni’s assistant coach would be made soon.
Despite the abrupt change in management, Titiloye emphasized that the club remains motivated and focused on delivering strong performances in the upcoming season.
“We wish Kabiru Dogo all the best in his new role at Nasarawa United. His departure has not discouraged us but rather motivated us to work even harder,” said Titiloye. “We are confident that Coach Tunde Sanni Saliu will bring the necessary energy and expertise to lead the team effectively during this interim period.”
Kwara United is set to face Niger Tornadoes in their opening match of the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season next weekend at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin.
The Harmony Boys will face Niger Tornadoes on September 7 by 4 pm under the interim guidance of Sanni Saliu.
