Kwara NSCDC Aims to Bolster Grassroots Security, Commissions New Outpost in Isare-Opin

In a decisive effort to enhance security at the grassroots level, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command has commissioned a new outpost in the Isare-Opin community of Ekiti Local Government Area.

The outpost, donated by the local community, was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

DCC Olushola Davies, representing the State Commandant during the ceremony, praised the Isare-Opin community for their unwavering dedication and swift completion of the outpost.

He noted that this initiative aligns with the Corps' mission to protect lives and property across the state, particularly in rural areas.

"The establishment of divisional offices and outposts like this one underscores our commitment to expanding security coverage in rural areas, ensuring that every citizen receives the protection they deserve," said DCC Davies.

He urged the community to actively support the security personnel stationed in their area and provide reliable information that could help prevent criminal activities.

His Royal Majesty, the Alara of Isare-Opin, Oba Michael Kayode Owolabi, also expressed his appreciation for the Command's dedication to improving local security.

He pledged his support for the officers deployed to the community and commended the Commandant for prioritizing the safety of grassroots communities.
